Call Richardson and you can use phone prompts to get to Hr. Is you pay off net? Is it itemized showing pay, accrued vacation, and such? Which line item is off. The feds will tax at a higher rate since severance is usually taxed like a bonus or at a higher rate bc annualized calculates to be more.

Did anyone get an answer on this, or can you provide the number for payroll? Mine is off by about $500. Thanks

I'm not grateful to a company for paying me most of what they agreed to.

If you're hourly and ineligible for severance, I encourage you to check your payslips to ensure you've been paid for every minute you've worked, every pay cycle. Wage theft is wage theft at every level and you should protect yourself.

I don't care if you love your job here, it's still a transaction and at the end of the day you take care of yourself because the company sure as f*ck won't.

Y’all out here complaining about your package being short when there are plenty of people about to get laid off with nothing more than “I’m sorry but we have to let you go” … suck it up!

There is now a lot federal tax taken out. Seems the amount taken is disproportionately high compared to the 401k pre-tax off-set. Hope payroll can explain this. Something doesn’t seem right.

Thank you for pointing this out. And four other people who were laid off recently and have decided to meet up and we each were missing more than hundreds of dollars. What a scam.

So what would you do about an error like that?

Everyone shuold check it carefully. It could be short more than a few numdred dollars, they could make calcualtions based on old salary data or something else that would make it wrong by thousands.
