Enbridge has gone full woke …prove me wrong. Leadership wants “diverse” placements at all costs to detriment of business. Forget about anything else. We are forced to celebrate and call out things like pride month and mandate “inclusion” then we suck up to crazy left wing radicals who demand this nonsense sensitivity inclusion training etc in an attempt to say/ convince them that “hey we aren’t so bad.” These left wing kooks will never ever embrace a pipeline company. Leadership is clueless and just acting like sycophants and hurting the business

When you go woke you go broke. There is nothing wrong with inclusion, however, when you are promoting a specific agenda and hiring or promoting individuals based on color, creed, se-ual orientation then you have reverse discrimination and that creates all kinds of issues. The Canadian leadership is totally on board with this agenda and the American side is not too far behind. Allowing ESG or DEI will eventually be the downfall of all companies.

These people in charge only care about the money they can suck out of the company,
before they take off.
The propaganda is at an all time high every where.

That being said I care about everyone as a human being.
Don't have to follow the company BS, just be kind and understanding to all people, why should you have any issue with some person who is different than you, get to know them company politics aside.

The only version of truth is likely that you are in a group of people that has traditionally benefited from being a certain s-x and race. The fact that we are celebrating the colleagues who have always been around us but have had to stay hidden and that bothers you tells the truth of your character to be blunt. It’s not a choice, you know it, but are afraid of that for some weird reason.

I typically wouldn’t consider myself to be a racist, homophobe, or any other currently dividing label. I choose to follow the Martin Luther King Jr quote when he said, “I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” I also choose to let people make their own decisions about who or what they want to be, who they choose to pick as their spouse, partner, or life mate.
That being said, don’t shove you personal choices in my face, then tell me that I need to agree with and embrace your choices.
I don’t demand my own month, my own special flag, my own % of commercials, television roles, additional HR training, government funding, University classes, corporate kowtowing, DIE programs, or any other strong arm tactics to push my beliefs onto anyone else.
The saying is: “You do you”! Just do not force me to embrace your version of the truth.

My department is exclusively hiring people who have immigrated from a specific Asian country only. The problem is that communication skills (verbal/written) are critical in this role, and they don't meet the requirements but are hired anyway.
I don't care where my fellow employees are from, I just need them to be reliable and competent.
