@1mwe, yes, 5/17 looks like small cuts, but it is not. I know some Q guys who don't log in daily basis anymore even though they aren't on vacation or out of office. It's very weird but true.
Correct, why isn't no one talking about actual lay off numbers pretty low compared to jupe bloody Wednesday etc? Answer: it's boring. So, let's talk about the next probable one and keep this forum going!
Next cuts probably won't happen until next fiscal year (Oct). That would be if China market doesn't recover. But that's fair and unlike ots pre-planned.
What does big cut in May mean? The PH numbers before and after look really small (in comparison to the hype generated on this forum) and the difference even includes all the volunteers.
Another cut? On top of the big reduction in May? Our department already lost more than half of people at above manager levels, but they all volunteered to leave. I thought CA said cut for FY23 is done.

H1B visa holders have the ability to stay in the country for another 60 days after losing their jobs. After that grace period expires, we face deportation. Start preparing and don’t believe anyone posting it’s fake news. This is real and we need to protect ourselves.
Not fake news. Big round coming.
How many were impacted in the May round? No Warn filed, so a small number?

My source is VP+ level and they had their meeting where these decisions were made.
I heard that too
