I was part of the latest round of lay offs at CommScope. I was infromed by someone from HR that more people will be leaving at the end of June. I know the pandemic didn't help anyone, but the leadership decision making in the past 5 years has been horrible. Just one bad move after another. I was fortunate enough to have a severance package but I'm praying for all the people they might be pushing out due to hour cuts, no raises, and no more 401k matching. CommScope is a sinking ship and the people there knows it.

It does not make sense how BU leaders select person to be in layoff. Selecting company talent will not help to get any business. Favoring to keep so called loyal employee without looking at their output and capabilities will definitely hurt your BU. Who has talent and skill set, they will find job right a way. Only Company will hurt by loosing the impactful talents.
There is an IT town hall tomorrow.
And your questions will be filtered in order to avoid making slt uncomfortable.
They spew the same bs Everytime, is not worth going.
Set your calendar tu bussy and enjoy of a 2 hr walk instead.
You could ask at the next town hall, assuming there is ever going to be another. On second thoughts forget that your question will be censored
Can anyone quantify the total number of layoffs from CommScope in May/June?
The layoffs seems to be staggered by location/offices. If your office hasn’t had a layoff this year yet then there’s a chance a layoff may come.
My understanding is all BU leaders were given their guidance on the cuts earlier this year. Each BU leader is responsible for figuring out how they’re going execute their cuts with minimal impact to their Business. So one BU may take longer than others to roll out their cuts.
Can you tell us which location you were at?
