Never seen this many jobs added in one day(6/13), I guess people starting to quit and company still have run the ship until october

There were 6 VP positions listed yesterday - 3 of them brand new - and it’s back down to 3 today. Presumably the blink-and-you’ll-miss-them 3 were only there to satisfy the minimum advertisement requirements, and those who have been acting up since the previous incumbents resigned will just be slotted in. Good to know that the no backfill policy is at least making life (very) easy for a few people.
Only flaw in that plan is if EUC gets sold off in which you don't get a vmware package you get whatever the buying company decides to do.
If you've been in the software industry long enough (25+ years for me) you'll remember a time when some companies in CA handed out 3 mo. sabbaticals as part of the general benefits package. They want you refreshed after 5 years of toil, or wanted you out to find another/better job.
Finally the sabbatical, uh, severance, is in reach now.
I'd take a package without question, want out. Not just vmware/broadcom but IT industry. Customer facing over 10 years, need a long vacation. More than happy to see the transition through to see what happens. If I'm not lucky to get a package and the door, Ill be leaving... Might as well hold if chance of getting severance and then go surfing for a few months before next chapter, what ever that will be, which is exciting. BRING IT!
I don't know about other teams at VMW, but I know some folks in the EUC BU are planning an exit before September. Myself included. I'll take a package now if they offered it to me.
Started to quit ?
Attrition has been ridiculous for months now.
some poor desperate souls will join then be promptly ejected before they even realize what is going to happen to them...
Hock needs more people to fire
