You should be an id--t to quit intel . I was earning above 200k at intel at grade 9 in Portland. Took similar role at amd and my work hours are crazy!! I work on weekends and 70+ work hours and no WLB. I was earnings more per hour at intel than at amd . I was barely working 30 hours at intel .
Don't leave intel if you want WLB
Amd screwed us on raises and promos. My mentor: second smartest guy I know, was totally jacked this cycle. If a guy that smart can’t get a promo who in the he-l are they promoting. I wasn’t up for a promo but my raise sucked.
We are on a retirement glide path. If you don't like it...takeoff to somewhere else.
They have to rock something. Reduced pay, 2.5% 401K contributions, no raises, no promotions, no incentives of any kind. Our managers have to buy pizza for their team builders out of their own pocket because Intel is too effin cheap to supply something as simple as snacks. Yeah, Great Place to Work my a$$
Go on up to TSMC if you’re in AZ and find out.

If you leave intel now when the culture is changing you are stupid . Most engineers pretend work is barely for 20 hours

Who cares about the stock? A job is all about work/life balance - everyone has only one life to live. You can always buy AMD or NVDA if you want to get rich - let their people slave for it.
As an AMD shareholder I want to thank you for the extra effort OP.
