Has anyone heard about the possibility of Belden buying Commscope?

Belden, Beldon, doesn't matter. My friend just came back from the plant in Mexico. He's setting up the software to run the lines. The Italian suppose to have supplied the software for the machine but it doesn't work. He's now working on the software for the devices.

Belden, Beldon.... keep dreaming Belden will buy your cr-p hole. Mike Kelly said they are now hoping for CS. shrugs.

@8ydg, your story would have been incredibly convincing if you only knew how to spell Belden.

Beldon is putting in million-dollar extruders in Mexico. My friend is writing the software for the lines. Why would they want to buy old obsolete equipment that CS runs? Come on guys. Maybe some 3rd class companies like Prysmian, Southwre or some other lower company might consider buying the company.

On the other hand, Beldon might buy the company for the cable product and shut down all the buildings and produce the product in Mexico. That might happen.

Abused. Demoralized. Depressed. Who knew someone else could control our mood as such. This Belden guy must get big bucks paid to do nothing at all but reading these forums.

Belden is setting up a plant in Mexico with over 80 extruders, why would they want to buy CS. Less wages and benefits in Mexico.

It is what it is.....

That would explain Chuck's mission to bestow $0 stocks to the undeserving few, and of course his recent $10.41 and $4.45 stock purchases. He intend to walk all the way to the bank by stepping on the backs of the newly laid off workers!

I did hear about it, but logic would indicate that they would not buy all of the company. Now if Belden passed it would be most likely Chuckie and his horror cauterize and board want a buyer to take all.

If I were Belden, just let CS die by itself and then less one competition. There is not much Belden can get from CS. Both have many product overlap. If unluckily Biden really bought CS units, make sure to layoff all from manager to top level by not carrying bad culture, they really do nothing at CS too!

So is the current belt tightening a knee jerk reaction to this?

Only reason to buy Commscope is to ruin your brand ! And dig Belden in the hole for more than 10 bn in debt :)

Good luck, Belden!

In the other hand, it would make a lot of sense. The lack of care and respect for employees, is paramount.

Dear Belden, if you are reading the layoff forum, get ready to inherit 30k of depressed and abused employees !

Wouldn’t surprise me. Thanks to the mountain of debt our fearless leaders have amassed, the sale of a segment or two may be necessary. Layoffs and cost reductions aren’t going to cut it

I hadn’t heard the Belden rumor. Anyone else have any info on that?
