Why would UMR behavior health staff be moved to Optum BH, with no prior notification or hints of this move?
Is it a set up for RIFs?

It would be smart bc UHC is bleeding money so moving a cost center to Optum who is cash heavy would help the books.
Interesting they backpedaled on this today…. Staying as umr now?
Was all UMR behavioral health UM moved to Optum?
I’m on the Optum side and we are so slim with regard to care advocate staffing.
UMR, Inc. Is a part of United that contracts with large self fund groups to perform utilization management for them. Their legal entity name is just that... UMR.
What is UMR?
