ex dell laid off needs to find new life
October 6, 1997: Michael Dell makes an infamously bleak appraisal of Apple's fortunes. Asked what he would do with the struggling company, the founder of Dell Inc. says he would “shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders.”
Those who have marketable skills will leave voluntarily. Those who don’t will cloister and drive the bus over anyone and everyone they can.
Actions over last six - eight months prove this. The scapegoating is at all time highs. Leaders and their lackeys closing off the productive team members and pawning off their work as their own is rampant.
Those being sidelined are now quite quitting and can’t wait to get away from the burning and sinking ship.
Ask yourself over the past 10 years what would Tim Cook have done?
We did the exact opposite. That is why Apple is worth 3T and Dell who famously once said to shut apple down is circling the drain. He gets his 25B soon and whatever cash he can suck out of Dell until it is a husk to be sold off to some PE firm.
Some pot stirring for sure but consensus is clear for August. Based on your post…you will be a great addition to the ex_dell crew.
I currently work for Dell and you need to relax my friend. Some people do post to stir the pot, but I think I can speak for everyone ( laid off or not) Dell is certainly making huge changes and cuts and it is worth paying attention to. This information can come from people still with the company and people who are no longer there, if the last lay off proved anything it is that Dell is marching to their own tune and employees need to be prepared to be part of a lay off in the future. There is no rhyme or reason for these lay offs, I saw top performers laid off as well as newer employees who had been at the company for not even a year! The truth of the matter is, we are all a number at this company, there are some companies out there who set themselves up financially to never lay off employees (Keyence for example) but Dell is not one of those companies..let’s all just try our best to enjoy our time at this company or the time we had and focus on making sure we are in the best position if or when that times comes.
Guy who posts most about ex dell laid off needs to find a new tune.
Be patient, smaller layoffs did happen recently. Based on Q1 earnings (nothing to be proud of)… the next one will be significant. FYI... not ex dell laid off here
