Since we tried even less pricey merchandise..
The amount of customers clearly is way down... My stores sales are down six percent is what I am hearing...
Anyone else have access to sales figures..

We’ve always targeted the wealthiest - they make us go. But we’ve never done it in a manner that alienated the occasional shopper. Terrible messaging and not needed at all.
Your new strategy is bad for business. Targeting your top clients only and selling merchandise that only they can afford is alienating potential customers. Me being one of them. I prefer shopping at Saks. Better assortment and better deals while still maintaining exclusivity and good service. NM going in the wrong direction. I’ve considered applying there after many years of working for another retailer, but not anymore.
I went to NM in Beverly Hills looking for a simple tan sweater. The only one they had was plain, not unique in any way, and a jaw dropping $2,350.00, next door at Saks a tan cashmere sweater of the same quality was $795.
Struggling in shoes. Not as many customers and now it’s more of she’ll look and think about it vs buying.
More pricey with less sales... Think the writer mis spoke..but yes we wanted more steep proces
When people walk in with intention of buying.. yet everything seems way overpriced and not worth it.. That's what.. we need all customers..Yes they will go to other places to spend... We aren't a luxury store with the gutter behavior and fraud the corporation persues on all levels..
Who knew about the less pricey merchandise? Not me. Was it advertised? I would have at least taken a look, as long as it wasn't the kind of cheap cr-p Nordstrom sells. Low quality is unacceptable in a high end store. There is more quality merchandise at Walmart than there is at Nordstrom's lower cost departments.
