Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

One Month Left

Only one month left (or just over) before BBB and Baby are gone. From what I can tell with my local stores people aren't even buying merchandise in liquidation, even more there is hardly any foot traffic in the stores. Shocked there aren't more open for work banners on LinkedIn for those who are sticking around. Better start looking!

Better Update your Daily Calendar!
How many missed greets did you have?
Oop forgot to offer a cart to the vultures!
Your conversions going to get you a “PIP” by the end of closure!

Oh maybe this will all look good on your resume! A BBB reject!

Just stop it, all of you! Y'all are chattering and clamoring for no reason, like a disgruntled horde of spootie-wonkles! You cannot give in to the infernal ranting of the spootie-wonkles, when all that will result is that we'll still be right here where we are! You cannot do that! Amen, Dear Lord!

I already have another job. This has been my weekend only gig since January. I have never held any position outside the store. And I have no loyalty to the corporate leadership who has destroyed everything. It's my co-workers in the store I worry about, not me. They deserve better.

So there you go again, you have it all wrong, and go on making accusations you cannot prove, just because you can't accept the fact that my store is better than yours.

You can claim to hate corporate all you want, but the fact remains is you’re a shill! A shill for a BBB store which is part of the corporate umbrella and agenda. Probably someone who was “fast tracked” years ago and then got rejected because the bench got too big OR you were in district customer service and you were and energy vampire and MODs/LOSs couldn’t stand you then your position was cut then you were relegated to the store level, actually having to sling freight, and do real work that district clowns never had to do, but you did it all better, because why? You’re fictitious store is “better than” everyone else’s. Typical shill! Your loyalty means nothing to anyone! You’re a number, a dime a dozen! Nobody cares!

How is your store better than mine? I don’t even work there anymore. Is this some religious code? Are you that holier than thou!? Enlighten us, oh annoying one! You stayed on, you’re an id--t. Plain and simple. Your character is judged by the company you keep. Those that are still there are id--ts, too. Id--ts that drank the godda-n kool-aid and are asking for more, because, YOU GOT THIS! Lol!! Go pontificate somewhere else, like maybe at your next job….

I reject your authority to dictate what is or isn't relevant, because none of it matters anymore. The company is dead.

I will also reject your invitation to have a Brew with Sue, because, well just for facts' sake, if she were to, hypothetically, go drive her car over a cliff somewhere, I couldn't care less.

So now you can see what a wasted effort your Captain Obvious statements and invitations of denial are, because the fact remains...

My store is better than yours.

You guys understand the catch phrase “Home Happier”?

Upper management is home happier while you’re in the store doing the grunt work!

Buy an oxygen mask with your “retention” bonus you”ll be gasping for air when this is all said and done.

The fact is I moved on nearly two years ago after thirteen years of BBB, knowing the company would be the dumpster fire that it’s in today. So If you’re claiming your store is better than mine or better than anyone else’s, your claiming of anything about your store as “fact” is irrelevant at this point. Go have your brew with Sue.

Wrong again, pal. The company is done for and over. The execs do not care about anything but their own golden parachutes, And the contest is all in your own mind.

And none of this has anything to do with the reality that my store is better than yours.

There is no brag. It is just the facts.

You’re the one that claims to be better at liquidation than the other store. You’re the one who created the “fluff contest”. The fact that you feel you need to defend yourself proves you are one of these clowns that goes around saying “finish strong” it’s over!

Shut it down, it’s over! BBB is not worth staying to the bitter end. Nobody at corporate gives a sh-t about anyone being a hero on the weekends at this failed retailer that’s experiencing the death rattle and time of death has already been predetermined.

My stating the facts is in no way claiming an imaginary trophy in some fluff contest you all made up in your own minds. It is merely a testament to the amazing people I work with. I already have my next job, so this is my weekend gig now, but that doesn't mean I am not going to applaud my in store co-workers. It is the people in corporate who blew it, but whatever. You all just keep carrying on with your silly games.

@1pua+1mzAmOTb , what a triumphant story! That is something to be super proud of, I am sure there are many envious people! Apparently you still got this even in liquidation and on the cusp of being jobless. Inspirational story for years to come. LOL....clown.

“I guess even in liquidation my store is better than yours”

You do realize you’re bragging about a job you’re about to be out of in the next month or so? Staying to the end at a company that fu---d over so many people that put in so many years of service…. Enjoy your moral victory……

My store is busy. We got our first major liquidator dump earlier in the week, and they're giving away hours to whoever wants them. I guess even in liquidation, my store is still better than yours.

Store closing not the same as Going Out Business signs.

Slow traffic ,no inventory, no fixtures moving out the door at my local store.

June 5 news breaks and it will be busy however no inventory except AUG.
