about 300 people. tech and marketing hit hard, director up to svp mostly gone.
More IT layoffs will follow and likely be announced mid summer.
They appear to be done with layoffs for now.
CH Robinson has the unique ability to forecast the economy based on trends they see in shipping. If they are panicking this much with a huge layoff be afraid for the future economy. Be very afraid.

They gutted middle management in IT. All that is left is first level supervisors and directors with nothing in between.
I left the company almost 2 years ago due to bad management and lack of upward mobility. Even so, I’m saddled to hear about former colleagues being let go. Especially given the area they are in, I’m really concerned about what’s going on right now.
Yup just continued bad decisions trying to save a company that is dieing a very slow death because of its sunk cost fallacy thinking regarding its slow and outdated logistics system that continues to get worse and worse. Sadly instead of fixing the problems the employees suffer instead.
