Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Such low employee engagement

SEBU town hall just ended. Wow, what an odd feeling I left with.

The results from a recent employee satisfaction survey were presented, basically showing everything is pretty hunky-dory.

Later, before closing the meeting, the floor was opened for questions from the audience. Not a single one! (Ok, there was a “courtesy” question about sports but we can disregard that one).

I think that says something.

It has been like that for a long time. They fired Ajit and then Ashwin. Brought in a white leader Craig who was also a failure. What Ashwin did can not be fixed especially with the current managers. Look at the Nyansa managers who dirty they have become. They think people forget. But No. will never and time will come.

I’m surprised people showed up for the town hall, I don’t.

As for the survey, I have everything highest and next to highest rating so my immediate managers would not be penalized and also to spend as little time on this billshit process.

I know there is no mechanism for change, so why pi-s off my manager who is one of the nice people in the org, imho.
