How safe is product management role in VMware

PM is last line of defense after engineering. PM will be minimized due to the way Broadcom handles its business. It will be only minimal maintenance to core. rest will be spun off or discarded.

It depends on the seniority of the role. Director and above you will be safe as long as you say 'yes' and be part of the team. If you are the type that thinks for himself and tries to create value, then stay away. Good luck.
