The atmosphere is such that I have no motivation to do even the bare minimum. Where to find motivation for work in such a mess? It's difficult if not impossible.

Wow . Atleast ur manager has some hope of staying back.
I am also awaiting Monday like Christmas so hard to focus on work. My manager told we probably won't get hit by this but still let's see how this plays out.
You need to stop the crying and get to burning all that pto up before they fire you. Use it or lose it
Pop a gummy and get started on emails is the way to go.
It's a shame Dave is leaving. One of the few good bosses who knows what's right for the company
Gonna miss DM. It's not often you hear an exec who sounds like an engineer and speaks in ways that make sense.
Wasn’t D Moore one of the good guys?
This waiting period could have been handled much differently, not sure how. This is ki-ling it for people who will be leaving and for sure whoever is left. After this kind of treatment and we make the cut, how can one want to stay on. I need the job but will not feel good about being here.
Do what works for you .
Your current work could be scrapped too.
If you stay back , you can make up the lost hours next week.
Staying calm and taking care of our mental health is much more important this week.
Nah, I'm done. Even if they don't fire me, enough is enough. Time for a change. I would gladly volunteer to be laid off instead of someone who wants to stay, but, as previously, there is no such option.
What if you knew you would not be impacted? Would that motivate you more?
I am getting a lot done and focusing just like I will still be here next week. It is difficult, but it beats worrying until my head hurts. I'd rather be as productive as possible. At the end of the day, I will feel like I accomplished something more than feeling sorry for myself. I hope you can try it. Good luck!
Just chill this week .
Dave who? Does he rhyme with "smirk"?
Today afternoon I've received first mail since Friday... Previous two weeks average was around 30-40 per day ;-) So just chill this week and wait till Monday. Next week we will see what happens.
Right now Dave is our first known casualty. Which doesn't look promising for tech teams.
