Just curious if the offshore nurses know they are taking away our jobs or if they even care. I would think long and hard before taking a position with a company that only cares about profits and filling their pockets at our expense. Greed will cause this company to topple or everyone leaving to work for the completion.

I’m sure they don’t care, but in the end it’s us who will be laughing while they work in groups delivering cr-p work in a cr-p environment. You get what you pay for. Quality is going to be in the toilet and Optum/UHC deserves the nastiest smelling toilet bowl of them all.
OP is dissuading ppl from taking sh---y job, and at the same time laments that someone is taking away the very same awful Job away. Such stupid and silly double talk. OP should rejoice that someone overseas is willing to take the sh---y job. No wonder OP was laid off. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Actually UHC supports a school in the Philippines. They mass produce them. It organization like NCQA that allows the outsourcing by stating a licensed nurse. Doesn’t say where licensed.
Great idea ! Why the heck did no one else think it that?
Once they know a job could be lost if they accept the job, they will decline out of kindness and empathy.
It is Just a matter of spreading awareness among the natives so that your life can go on without interruption.
There is a job open that pays better, people will apply. Does it matter that it was a job that was previously held by someone else in another country that used to make more? I don’t think the average applicant would think about it.
Just like most don’t think about where their phone was made or by whom.

You get what you pay for.
Yes, we do.
Would you the do the same for them?
Such naive, unrealistic and entitled thinking / work ethic Is why we are in this situation.
why should they care when your own country's government allows this?
Why would they care? They need the jobs, Optum is giving them to them.
This is a vicious cycle- they know when moving to offshore nurses they pay them "peanuts". This is a win for more stock options/bonuses for "effective cost saving" by the execs. Looking at the situation, no winners for either side of the fence (worker bees), except the top.
