Why are we hiring so many people so soon after the layoffs? Why those positions were not offered to people who were being displaced? If saving money is the ultimate goal of layoffs, hiring again so soon after makes no financial sense. What am I missing here?

Openings for lower level pay workers that replaced the 300 RNs as they are struggling with that role I assume?
Where are you finding open roles? Seems like theres only warehouse distribution roles currently available.
