Hundreds of engineers and employees got layedoff last week(last week of May 2023) at WesternDigital(WD/Sandisk) at Bangalore, India. The employees were told that they won't get severance unless they do voluntary resign(or call it layoff) since company wanted to hide mass layoff news from public. Not sure how legal this is.

Layoffs are coming it is the DG strategy. The numbers were bad YoY and the guidance stinks. If you read the transcript, DG is still transforming.. that means operational cost cutting.

Not so fast. Flash was -5% GM - we lost money. Only HDDs held up the company.

RIF could be on 5/24. They might mention it in all hands on 5/11.
