I can hardly concentrate on work lately and I want to leave more than ever.
Maybe it's just me, but I think that a lot of people feel that Adidas has become a very depressing workplace. Do you agree?

anyone in Herzo who still feels this way after having the chance for a huge VLP package and feeling the campus so alive after the sub2 marathon is really in the wrong place and should take a necessary decision for themself
I’m in NAM, PDX and I love it. Have been here 4 years.
Idk how it is for other locations but I feel bad for the interns in the PDX campus. Their showing up to the office every day and it’s practically a ghost town. They probably thought they were in for a super cool experience and would get a great opportunity for networking. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. If they’re lucky they get a bit of sh---y throwaway work sent their way, while the not so lucky just sit at a stupid fu----g random table(no assigned seating! What a great idea!) and play on their phones until it’s time to bounce.
You can just…leave? 😂
You have a fair point about the works council. The amount of people who are taking advantage of their protection is quite disheartening for those of us who have to pick up the slack.
The strange, Dutch guy who seems to be in charge of the works council is more concerned about creating rifts between employees and the business than he is in helping to get the company out of the quagmire.
Herzo is a cow pasture in the middle of nowhere… of course it’s depressing.
adidas should shift more talent and jobs to the areas of the globe that bring more style, innovation, urban feel, and don’t have crazy works councils so you can have employees you can actually fire when they don’t feel like working.
So many people waste space and cash in Herzo… and do nothing but politics
Groundhog Day from the late 80’s except there is no Strasser and Moore to the rescue this time around.
I really like what I see and hear from Bjorn. He clearly feels the love for adidas as many of us do. I also respect Arthur, but Martin needs to go though!
@3dgt+1mxFLeOw Is an example of why change is challenged and “culture” is ill defined. Just because you are not experiencing the same, does not mean it doesn’t exist and shouldn’t be addressed and resolved. There has been enough out both consumer facing and internal to know that mistreatment, bad ethics, and low morality is rampant. The idea to suck it up or get out is so boomerific. If you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem
It has become depressing to see the rise in complainants who just whine, but never leave or cannot get a better job than they are in now. So, they just sulk, spoil the culture around and contribute to overall negativity
“all of this has happened before and all of this will happen again"
Situation is very similar to Adidas around 2000s and the brand managed to get its mojo back by focusing on sports lifestyle with Originals, Women's and Sportstyle (Y3). This is why Björn was hired as he has seen all this before.
I’m still more optimistic than most….and I think we’re slowly getting on a better path…but it will still take quite a while until a positive spirit returns.
Just leave if you want, empty space for someone more motivated
