Pay rise nowhere near inflation. The worst part was realising our management think we are really stupid.

One-off payment was a smart way for the company, since... it is a one-off! So it does not raise the base salary - meaning it has no compounding impact on your remuneration, bonuses etc in the future.

And of course it was nice - but everyone would prefer just a normal salary increase.

the one-off payment was nice but it does not counteract the permanent loss of purchasing power (until inflation subsides AND prices drop)
