Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Where does it stop?

Not saying 3m is the story it once was. But where does it all stop? Companies forced to grow or be shunned by investors . Governments suing for pfas , which are not illegal in their states, and still required in their purchase specs. Influencers pushing the agenda they want. Started with participation trophies so you didn’t have to work to succeed. Now they are telling you don’t think for yourself. We will tell you what to do . How about we start a class action for mercury that has been contaminating soil and water for decades. Include all the governing powers for allowing it. Ect. Remember the experiments in grammar school pushing the ball
Of mercury across the desk? Never pushed a ball pfas. How about making those that allow these things be held accountable?

"Never pushed a ball of pfas" -
When I was a kid, our local fire department had an annual open house where kids could climb on the trucks, operate a small inch and a half firehose at low pressure, watch the firefighters extract a "victim" from a wrecked car using the "jaws of life", and so forth. One of the attractions was using a firetruck from the local airport to create about a 2 foot deep layer of AFFF firefighting foam on the street in front of the fire station and letting the kids touch the foam and walk through it. At the end of the event, they used a firehose to wash what was left of the foam down the storm sewer which drained into the local lake. None of the kids or parents had any idea what PFOA/PFOS were at that time. I wonder how much of the stuff is still in the lake which is the source of the community's drinking water.
