Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

This Post Deserved a Bump!

There are 5 main groups which exists in Houston SCM Department:

  1. The Managers, Supervisors, and Leads who are streaming, FaceBooking or whatnot or are doing personal business most of the day. They take off early once the directors leave. They have no idea how to be true leaders. These are the typical type of Managers in the Supply Chain Dept. They are closeminded, racist, biased, and s-xist...even if they don't think they are.
  1. The constant Complainers who are entitled narcissistic bullies who are favored by their managers. They are well protected and spend more time complaining about other teams. Most of their day is spent on spreading gossip instead of working.
  1. The Workers who actually do work and know what they are doing. The Workers accepts the fact that they are in perpetual He-l. These are the ones who get persecuted if they report anything or open their mouth about being bullied or witnessing anything.
  1. The Pretenders who are little brown-nosers. They are slackers who pretend to do work. They shop online and study for their MBAs or Masters classes instead of working. Pretenders are perceived as completely innocent by managers. They blame other and are master manipulators. They are the wolves in sheep's clothing.
  1. The Replacements are hired to replace the Pretenders who have completed their MBAs or Masters program and have moved on to other companies after milking Enbridge. They replace the Workers who finally had enough of taking cr-p, bullied, and leaves or gets crucified during layoffs after making a complaint. Depending on their personality type and ethics, the Replacements will eventually go into group 2, 3, or 4.

The #1 worst department to work for. When you let a clown into your castle it becomes a circus. This place is a circus with zero SCM talent. 90% transactional with poor leadership across the board. #1 reason for heavy contractor base. Reduces liability for toxic management and bullies.

Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to outsource supply chain then to to continue dragging the company down with toxic behavior?

Shut this division down. Take it outback and shoot it. Refresh with new blood.

Get rid of Spectra Legacy employees and the problem is solved.

I use to work here before I was forced to "retire". Well it appears the supply chain organization is still run by clowns. When are they going to get their act together!

Ya gotta admit this is THE DEFINITION OF HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT! Known racism goes on here! These reviews speak for themselves. Glassdoor and all other jobs sites state similar things. Segregation ended in the 60s right? So why is it being resurrected in the south region again? Keep up the good work promoting those KARENS!

This is just my opinion based on my observations….the new top scm leadership are great, some legacy directors are not, and the majority of the legacy managers and supervisors are horrible. The newly promoted managers and supervisors are horrible and toxic. I wish there was some extensive vetting and leadership testing that could weed some out.

I’ve noticed its a bloated department with layers of management compared to the workforce. I must say there are some interesting characters working here.

Anyone wants to start a pool of when the next “gas lines can Enbridge guys bow up?”

Same story different day. Legacy Spectra individuals complains and tells it how it is while Enbridge individuals pretends all is perfect and spins it at fault of the individual. The cycle continues. Great teamwork and setting an example managers!

I've seen many fellow colleagues leave. They took the hardest step by seeking other opportunities. All of them if not most are happier then if they stayed. As one person said, the "vibe" is off in HTX and has been for years. Please take a hard look at your goals and ambitions in life. Take the first step and update your resume. Take the second step and apply for a job which aligns to your career goals. You may be surprised of all the great opportunities you are passing up. Each company has a different culture. Some have cultures which makes you excited to come into work each day. In return your quality of work becomes elevated. You may continue challenging yourself for greater and better things. Staying in negative environments will not help you reach your full potential.

Wonderful assessment! It has to be some type of grand social experiment, otherwise why would they allow the managers to continue with this endless cycle?

Life at Enbridge was much better before Spectra.
How many gas lines can you guys bow up, anyway?

Wow! Who knew the company's main goal was to provide a "safe space". WHINE ON. The company exists to make a profit. All of the problems denoted are real. They have always been there but now to a greater extent.

From a conspiracy theory standpoint, perhaps the company has sold $$$$ rights to observe you by a bunch of social scientists. " To what level can we degrade the work environment and still function????"

Eventually when things become irreparable they sell off the parts, make a profit and start over. The cycle will then repeat.

HR isn’t much better…the only difference is everyone is scared of them, and they should be. They are even scared of each other, and they should be.

This has nothing to do with keeping gas flowing. It has to do with a horrible work environment.
