heard there is a 5 year plan to phase out all production at the independence facility. anyone heard anything on that?

Bogus. Textron is making investments to update the delivery center.
Heard a rumor that independence production is headed to tam facility. That is why the industrial engineer was there.
heard this today from a lead. the remainder of the m2 will leave independence by this time next year. the t182 will transition to the west campus by the end of 2024. the t206 will be the year or so after that. then there will be a year or so period where all indy builds is the 172. but they are hoping that by 2030 they will no longer have a need for the facility at all. they want to cut their losses now as staffing has become more and more challenging out there - even more so than in wichita.
That is the rumor heard here in W7.
The Industrial Engineer was down looking at space. They want to start moving things around so that there is room to move Indy here.
