Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Can 3M use the restructuring charge to deleverage debt?

Restructuring charge for debt deleveraging? Or is it Blockrock that’s repurchasing our debt and gaining more equity? Also, with this new A3M/Not A3M alignment is seems like it’s positioning certain business parts for sale, am I right?

Parts of OCSD are already being sold off. Interesting that is part of Spinco though.

Selling off more parts of 3M has a very high likelihood. Exactly which parts get sold, in what order, and before or after bankruptcy are the questions that are more interesting.

3M still has some real crown jewels it its product line. I personally know of some complete product lines with 75% or higher gross margins, are growing, and readily separable from the rest of the business. If the right investors know where to look there will be some real deals that could be had in a 3M "Estate Sale".
