Take a long breath, move on to find a new job. San Diego job market is very tough right now. Look elsewhere and sell your sooner as housing market is going to be another tragedy in few months as we are heading to recession. It is the right time as schools are ending in May. If you worked for 15-20 years without a break, now is the right time.

Id like to keep the house my my house has lost equity of 12 percent or so in last 12 months.
More home price drop coming down the future
Don't let anyone fool you otherwise
The Sr. Dir in my team confirmed that there are upcoming layoffs. Also, seems the team is letting go anyone working remotely; so they are finding excuses to fire people without caring about the work or projects.

Who are you sorry for? Has anyone officially heard anything yet? I’m not saying it won’t happen but why say “those impacted” when there’s no communication yet? Or do you have more details? If yes, please share that too
Maybe a good time to take a break, but keeping the house with low fixed monthly payment may be better than selling in times of uncertainty.
Funny. But there is not the layoff.
