No stock refreshers, no bonus, forced unpaid vacations. My manager is terrible. I rather get the axe and enjoy the severance.

What makes you think they aren't attempting to leave? I'm pretty sure they're looking for a new job and haven't found one yet, or they'd have gotten the F* out of here by now. Don't be an a$$hole and assume they're just sitting around complaining about their job but doing nothing about it. That's ridiculous. Nobody wants to be here in this garbage dump.
Most people are looking, but a severance would help speed things up so they could leave RIGHT NOW. You can't just leave without having something else planned, can you? Most people have common sense!!
Can we request a voluntary RIF?
Most of the industry is currently sucks.

Completely agree!!! I am really looking forward to the opportunity to gtfo of WD! They suck!
