Most of the 19,000 layoffs are US. They are looking to outsource 80% of corporate functions from the US. There are 70,000 in the US so we’re talking double digit layoffs in the US. They call it Re-Imagined Corporate Functions but everyone knows it’s layoffs.

... There laying of corporate functions across the world. UK, Ireland, North America. The biggest cuts seen in procurement and HR. In percentage terms between 50 to 60%. Accenture employee
Amen
Post ID: @hci+1mnQQiGy You should always be worried at Accenture. Why don't just go to work for Microsoft. They pay you a lot more for your pain and suffering.
Mid-to-Higher Levels (Managers, SMs, MDs) are going to just love working with offshore "talent" in HR, Recruiting, etc. Should go over like the proverbial you-know-what in the punchbowl.
Off-shore = to developing countries, exploitation.
I was told that if you work at a job that in non-billable in the USA, then your job is at risk and will probably be offshored. To give them credit, there is apparently a lot of MDs being affected as well so not just front line / bench folks.
Finally, the layoff number, this is on top of layoffs that have already happened starting last October and going through to the formal corporate restructure announcement.
Is the 80% financial or headcount?
Also, SO MANY on the bench across the board due to overhiring and lower than expected annual attrition. What kind of inside info about asking groups about bare minimum they need?
Where do you get this is mostly the U.S.? Australia taking hard hits as well as Europe which is behind from a tech standpoint (compared to the US). Some many in IT/Support in the US that could easily go overseas. That could be thousands alone.
It's a race to the bottom.
To the job poster. If only corporate will be affected I should not worry? I do sales for Microsoft Azure campaigns.
