I think visits are important but I agree unannounced visits would be very interesting
Travel is a business expense, so Macy’s will write it off. Free tax write off!
If you know anything, Macy’s uses Marriott and NOT Hilton
It’s still a lot of money. Then factor in the labor costs to get these Stores ready depending if they are remote or in what shape they are. When people get sent to help from other stores, it puts a strain on those stores as well. Visits are stupid and distracting. They should be kept to a minimum and be unannounced in my opinion.
Corporate travel rates are not being factored in. Food budget is also lower
