Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Massive hits to US SIBG today

Here to say that some of the best of the best were let go today. All different ages and experience levels - S5’s, super achievers, key account account leads. Estimating a 30% reduction in the field, if not more.

They’re more then just colleagues and friends, they’re incredible contributors to 3M.

You can guarantee Q2 earnings will be worse than Q1, given our sales and business teams don’t know their roles, customers, territories.

@Pawelec the Poser, I left because of her after 10 years of 3M loyalty. Her hostile takeover of PSD gave me PTSD. Genius marketer, I’ll giver her that. But zero implementation skills outside of tyranny and quite frankly, a god awful person. Perfect example of 3M’s leadership.

The Polish Wonder has been pushing out the best marketers and digital talent in SIBG for years. Unless you genuflect at the alter of Magda the Great, you’re garbage anyway.

Its fun to see people like clayton on linkedin feeling sorry for everyone as his first action in leadership is to lead the sh!tcanning. His only accomplishment in his entire career is ti be the loudest in the room, (he was a asm for like 8 months) and to join his buddy irwin in the layoffs.

This is the type of guy that could only be in leadership at 3M!!

I watched Vale's town hall. When asked what could have been done differently, he mentioned more cuts should have been earlier in Covid.

Dude has no plans to grow business, only cut cut cut cut...what a horror show.

Looks like he and Moneyish will make an even better team when Roman is kicked out later this year.

What kind of people were let go. Was it only sales and strategy? What about people at the bench and product developers ?

Vale got his wish. He is the single biggest hater of the sales team going back a decade. Views it as a cost center, hates sales meetings, sales reps, wants channel and digital to rule it all. Think things are bad now wait til vale gets in place he-l cut u all!!
