@onk - Intel is most efficient at identifying the non-political, heads-down, working bees that actually produce something and relentlessly firing them or pushing them out. While at the same time promoting and rewarding the know-nothing, bloviating and politically connected, often belonging to one or more of the protected DEI classes, who took credit for all the hard working bees accomplishments.

I bet most people laid off are Engineers who are doers and not talkers.
Intel revenue per head is dropping like a rock... Increasing headcount with decreasing revenue and margin is no way to run a business.
That's It? Definitely need more cuts.
Headcount up 2,400 over Q1 2022... Very bad.
