There is a way to get around the best people leaving if they did a voluntary layoff. They can make the voluntary part subject to approval. Dow Chemical did a buyout/early retirement of chemists 10-12 years ago. A friend of mine said he didn't take it when I asked. His wife spilled the beans to my wife however. Dow told him no. Yes, he is that sharp and he made them pay, but that's another story. But when did TR REALLY look out for their emoplyees?

@1tae+1mlIPlYY They never do that, because if a voluntary call for redundancies goes out, the best people are the first to take the payout and jump ship.

Would be great if they would give an option so people could volunteer to leave. But I guess this will not happen since they messed up a lot they need to get rid of old staff and get new unaware people on board ;)
