Every decision made by Appian is a short sighted, quick fix, without thought of the long term effects to the business. It's funny because when I was there I must've heard leadership say "we don't want you guys chasing tennis ba--s" a thousand times. it was ironic bc Appian is constantly chasing tennis ba--s in every facet of the business.
To be fair, Appian has always succeeded in spite of its leadership team, not because. I’m not surprised they’d make such a shortsighted choice
I think the investor day has something to do with it. Gotta look good for the investors!
