Appears that our new procurement and HR leaders are making quick work, laying off many.
Their end dates are this week.
Don’t believe me, see who is not here next week. Many band 11 & 10’s, which are public now, many of the individual contributors will make a silent exit.
Most are being backfilled externally.
People impacted were already informed last month.
No career at GF continues to prove accurate.
It is time for us to be brutally honest in the survey. Stop worrying about what management will think if you are honest, lower or senior leaders. Be truthful and tell them the things they don't want to hear about GF base salary is not competitive, there is no opportunity for career at GF, there are very few interesting technologies to work on, the jobs in US and other fabs sites keep disappearing and being outsourced. Force them from the survey to give us great reasons why we should stay working underpaid and over worked while the senior management just wants to outsource everything??? Honestly, GF is a shithole to work out which is dictated by the senior leaders in company trying to save salary costs at the cost of not giving a sh-t about employees at fab sites, we are all just replaceable widgets to them!!! Be honest, direct and let the management at all levels know what is wrong with this place. They probably won't fix anything like usual but at least embarrass them with the results, score low and be direct on comments.
Survey season
They should get rid of CEO, CFO and advisor to CEO, start there and then continue to clean house under them. Need to get back to the days where we had VPs and SVPs who actually had brains. Current set of misfits are a parking lot full of execs that nobody else wanted. No more shuffling the card deck, time to throw the existing deck of cards away and start with a new deck!!!

Change your expectations, you are not in a career company.
It’s more like the summer job you had in between semesters at college. Highly transactional. Come in, do some work and leave, with only the expectation that the check clears on Friday.
GF just sucks on so many levels.
