Thread regarding Disney layoffs

Are parks getting hit today?

I said this before and I'll say it again, I'm not sure why we need layoffs when we're understaffed as it is. This will not help, this can only make the customer experience worse. Whoever is making these decisions should trade jobs with me just for one day, just to see what we have to go through every day with so few people.

Definitely wish non-Disney employees would stop negatively commenting on a thread about current Disney layoffs. How insensitive are you people?

Five keys?

Four keys were good enough for Walt, so they are good enough for me.

@3wie+1mjhZsEY: Agree fully with your post! Service at the Parks is sub-grade, not near representing Disney's Five Keys, unless you count over-the-top representation for the fifth key. I live in Orlando, and go fairly regularly, but not nearly as much as pre-Covid because service is horrible, high costs of food and beverage, long, long lines, and just the overall New-Disney experience. I disagree with the OP claiming a problem with being understaffed, as what I have observed consistently at the Parks are cast members gathered together chatting and laughing with each other, and barely even bothering with guests. One of the last times I was at HS, there were five - FIVE!!!!!! - cast members cooling off in the restroom, leaning against a wall, doing nothing. And, the cleanliness of the restroom was awful. Those are just some examples of what is wrong with Disney Parks.

As a customer of the parks- service is abysmal. My last $5000 vacation to Disneyland was my last trip. It costs the same to go to Disney Paris or Tokyo as it does to go to Anaheim.
My family has been going to Disneyland since July 1955…it’s a shame that for $250 a day you can’t find a bench to sit on and have to wait 4 hours for a pizza.

Parks are paying the bills while media and studio flush money down the toilet. You seen the internals for GOTG3 yet?

leadership is well aware that parks are the one of the few aspects of this company still worth salvaging.

Right, what everybody said is correct. It's been reported numerous times that hourly cast will not be affected.

There’s been no indication this is impacting frontline in the parks. This drama is unnecessary.

Cast members working in the parks won't be affected from what I've read. Any mention of "Parks" I believe is related to DPEP and not those in the parks.
