I’m surprised there isn’t anything on here about the recent wave of Walgreens layoffs at the Support Center - at least several hundred got laid off, mainly a layer of the VPs, but also whole teams, and directors. Any one here know of anyone? I’ve heard of several people

Global headquarters is. In the 100 compass
I was laid off in April. Full time employee with many years at the company. Bottom line, they don’t care. Just cut and not think of anyone else. Nor the impact on anyone or their families. I can reapply for another position. No thanks. I got a new job and happy to take the severance. If you want to call it that.
Awful company to work for. They treat everyone like cr-p. Either early retirement or fire you on the spot. Unbelievable. Never go to Walgreens again.
Lots of people who have been at company 20-30 years have been terminated or even better said to retire. Top and middle management- many excellent people who know what they’re doing. Their positions have been eliminated per HR. All the new people Roz hired are paid more $$ and really don’t know what they’re doing. It’ll be very interesting. Since Roz came on board the stock is down 38-39% so yeah woke seems to make Wags broke. The spin doctors spin and the political players hang on just making it worse. Use to be a great company. Not anymore
Deerfield support center is a bunch overpaid yes men. Great decision to cut the fat there. Maybe they can add it back to the stores. I have worked in both.. they are both toxic cesspools.
A bunch of project managers got laid off thats all I know for sure.
There was an announcement that the company was reducing office space at Wilmot Road. Selling buildings 200 and 300 if I recall, due to "under utilization" because of work-from-home/ office hybrid model. No mention of layoffs but not surprising.
Deerfield, IL. It’s the global corporate HQ, but they call it the support center.
Where is the support center located? Which lines of business does it support?
