I'm very sorry for everyone who is affected, but maybe for some it will really be a blessing in disguise...
Given the direction this company is going in, it's only possible to expect things to get worse here, right?

I know what you mean. Assuming you survive layoffs, would you still want to be there?
I work at a company that never restaffed after the Great Recession. A bunch of nice people grinding away. In fact we were so good we just got sold. For all the success, no one is happy here.
I have a feeling the lack of morale would further hurt Disney given the culture is premised on fantasy and happiness.

Is ESG still in content? If so then things can only get worse.
mom and pop investors already realize that esg is ki-ling the whole industry so its only a matter of time before disney has lost so much influence that the parasites at blackrock move on to another host to suck the life out of.
meanwhile these youtube kids that have zero respect for the legacy media and refuse to do esg are hiring for their multimillion dollar production studios all over the country. those kids are picking up the audience that disney is losing by the tens of millions.
You're welcome to leave if you don't like the direction the company is going, and if you don't feel aligned any more.
