I've been here a little over a year and I feel like I'll need to be deprogrammed when I leave! The back biting, having the culture shoved down your throat, the leadership principals they claim to live by. They are actually now a Day 2 company and not the earth's best employer.

This is why ex-Amazon employee companies are the best places to work at. Amazon does a really good job at teaching people how to not run a business.
principals vs principles? Sigh ...
It was the worst job experience I've ever had.
It was always a blessing not to get the Amazon job I interviewed for. The boss I interviewed with was nice, but the other department bosses were total Kool Aid drinkers.
Yes, Amazon will announce more layoffs after the earnings call. Their earnings fell short once again, cash flow down.
Every year has either 365 or 366 days. The first day of the year is day 1, the second day is day 2, the third day is day 3, and so on. To think it's always day 1 is just delusional - time isn't frozen, it progresses. Today it's day 116 for 2023 at Amazon. Who cares? Maybe care about the P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheets? LP's/culture are just political soft skills fluff in place of actual work experience.
Is it better to work at McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendy's? Perhaps. Is it the choiec between flipping burgers or being forced to ur----e in a delivery van because of a shortage of breaks?

Any news if the layoff hit Seattle?
I have seen news about roles in other continents being impacted.
