I haven't been around Teradata long (12 months), but I have been around long enough to know that locally our culture is going downhill. I'm in the GTM team for an APJ country and we've been witnessing a gradual decline over the past 12 months of an individual creating a toxic culture of bullying. I don't know what she did in other companies, but all of a sudden it's a case of if you are not in the inner circle, you are excluded and told to go elsewhere if you don't agree. Ruling by fear seems to be the norm here and it's not what I signed up for.

Just heard the news of CM's departure. Very interesting how it was effective immediately. Usually it's a transition to a new leader, but when someone at that level leaves abruptly obviously there were other issues involved and I applaud those who stood up and spoke up against her. I'm sure that wouldn't have been easy for them.
The "Vancouver hit job" will be the replacement (don't call it that!) of a Sales Director with many years service with someone reputed to be CM's close friend.
CM is out. No fluff. Effective immediately.
What was the Vancouver hit job mentioned? Was that how CM got into this role?
Ding Do-g the witch is dead
From afar it certainly sounds like there are some issues down there. Speaking to a number of Aussies, they aren't happy and are looking to move because of the recent changes implemented. I heard she has threatened a lot of existing staff with the intent to replace them with friends externally.
From afar I've heard only bad things about what's going on down there with her style of management. I don't think the OP is the only one about to jump ship under her and that many are about to go elsewhere soon. They don't want to end up being another Vancouver hit job.
Funny how the ELT goes out and plants 5 trees to save the planet and gets a picture taken to post on LinkedIn to show off their good deed. Makes me want to throw up.
All the people I know on the DIE spectrum also care more about revenue and their stock options than anything else. I don't know who NC and KCC are trying to impress with their virtue signaling but it's not DIE spectrum employees.
I don’t give a cr-p about culture. We need revenue!
Culture, what culture? It evaporated when SM, NC, KCC, HA and cronies walked through the door. With their disingenuous virtue signaling, and their collective propensity to publicly express opinions in order to demonstrate that they are a good person. But placing more importance on the appearance of moral correctness, than the correctness itself. Where good is only done at the bare minimum level, and it’s only done in order to receive praise. Doing a good deed to help another should come from a place of empathy and compassion. But, when it is done to serve a selfish desire for public praise is shallow at best, disingenuous at worst. Look beneath the surface at the ethics breaches and claims against certain members of the ELT for bullying. The way they speak about each other behind their backs. Finally pursuing a quasi political agenda vs delivering shareholder value. What culture?
Strategy?! We don’t need no steenking strategy. We’re woke!
Speaking as someone who recently left but was here 10+ years ago, there was a culture. It was a great culture. Hard working, collaborative, innovative, aggressive -- it was a great place to work. But then we were shown the error of our ways when NC made his grand entrance by announcing, in his first all hands meeting, how we all had to get in touch with our Inherent biases. Funny, I was hoping to hear something about strategy, not about what bad people we all are. That was my hint that it was time to go.
There is no culture here. All fake pretending to be cool, hip and inclusive. Just like family members at a block party. The hammer will fall as soon as you are out of the footlights.
CM - who orchestrated the appointment before Vancouver ? Displacing a long term contributor?
CM at her beat
APJ has had years of overt aggression from individuals in senior roles.
