If one were invited to a certain chip celebration at the end of May, could one be reasonably sure that one would still be employed during that time?

One thing sure is… I won’t attend the event for safety reason if layoff happens around mid May. Who knows?
Tape out parties are lame.
And the people that attend more so.
For those of you that this isn't obvious for, I will say it;
Mgmy isnt gonna go through the trouble of filtering an email list for a "tapeout celebration." For heavens sake. To even think that it was given any thought.
But, I will say...
If you are at the party -- they know who rides the short bus.
The party you want to be at is the one you don't know about.
You can probably still attend it even if you got laid off!
