I have worked for 3 international fintech companies, leaders in their fields. They all do complicated work in moving money safely and securely. These companies have multiple products, and the corresponding teams needed to support this critical infrastructure -- what do all of you do at Facebook/Meta? Look,I don't want people to be out of work, but what is it that you really did/do?

All 86k are practicing Woke’ism, Communism, Me2, Me3, and Me 4 and export to eat of the Corporate America. Mo thank You F-kbook employees; you’re not welcome.
If all the fintech companies failed, the world would be a better place.
my team pretend to be working.
@mrn+1meYofEY Big deal! But can you like someone else's ball sack.

Some FB personnel like Riley are still living the dream ..
Practice leetcode all day
Most post pictures of themselves pouting or with their tongues sticking out from between their fingers.
Pouting is very popular this days - every respectable lady with charm and Instagram account will have at least one photo on which she is pouting sensually. But why tongues sticking from between their fingers?
Most post pictures of themselves pouting or with their tongues sticking out from between their fingers. The others (aka the more "intelligent" ones) try to figure out ways to deliver monthly injections to the obedient sheep wearing virtual reality goggles.
Strictly speaking Meta should be able to run with no more than 10,000 people. What the other 70,000 are doing - nobody knows..

Jeez, what a lie. We all know how reliable are the fintech companies. This is another useless, overblown and overpaid business..

From a computing perspective, FB has probably had a greater impact than all the fintech firms combined. They've created/improved tech on every level, React, GraphQL, Cassandra, Linux Kernel, etc. Bloomberg, perhaps the biggest fintech firm, hasn't anywhere near as much impact.
That said, FB needs to go away because of the social harm they've caused and because of their collaboration with the feds.

Facebook contribution to fundamental computer science is on par with Google and Microsoft. Facebook is million times pos impact than a Fintech hoodwinker
"what do all of you do at Facebook/Meta? Look,I don't want people to be out of work, but what is it that you really did/do?"
Yes, Meta does a lot of useless work. It is corrupting our youth whose only self-image is tied to their Instagram account. We have women whose entire life is about promoting themselves on Meta sites and rejecting men for not being good enough for them. Facebook is responsible for this mess: 91% of women swipe left under 7 seconds.
Meta was the Trojan Horse: the best way to destroy or morals as a society and to create "social influencers" instead of future scientists. A company whose product is to "sell ads."
So let me get this straight, you move money from one point to another and create no valuable product. Just keep leeching on to another person work. This society needs more engineers not some d-mbo financial hoodwinkers
Start by returning cash to investors. Cut all stock based compensation, quickest way to increase to desired outcome without layoff.
