It might be a harsh thing to say, but perhaps the layoff is a blessing in disguise for many because I don't think that anything will get better here.
The golden years have passed and, unfortunately, the steep decline is hardly stoppable, although I wish it wasn't so.

The thing is that the affairs of other large companies such as Google are not going well either.. Both are loosing to smaller and smarter rivals..
I mean employees are well compensated. Nothing lasts forever. The smart ones are saving and investing for the future.
Blackberry and My Space ring a bell? It does! Not worrying about employees getting cut. They will find another job soon, just not making as much. I wouldn't want to be those i-d-iot investors keep pouring hard earned $ into the stock.
