I'm no longer worried about layoffs. I'll be perfectly fine with severance money and my savings for a year at least even without a new job (not that I won't be looking) so I'm at the point where I simply don't care. I am just tired and I'd like to move on, one way or another.

If you do get laid off don't leave before your term date... they will sc--w you out of your severance.
There are people who have accepted packages that will be leaving in May.
I’ve been volunteering for months and can’t get an offer (not Engineering). They’re hoping people will quit so they don’t have to pay out package.
OP, you are the reason Q needs to layoff. If you are fine either way, then quit or volunteer. Wishing others have lesser time to find another opportunity is not cool.
