Another layoff round would completely decimate my group. If we lose one more person, not to mention more, we won't be able to do our jobs. This is not us being lazy or unwilling to pick up extra work, we've done that before. There is simply a limited number of hours in one day and we can't do any more than we are doing right now. Does nobody at the top realize this?

This company is solely based on the people at the top, getting their millions. I mean, how else do you expect them to keep their million dollar properties on Lake Minnetonka?!?
So they are just like Shingles?

Not all are golden that work at this company. Some have the work ethic of Satan. Cheat, cut corners, only caring about metrics. They don’t care about doing quality work and serving the patients with genuine effort. They just want to work from home. And think making those metrics will keep them safe. So they lack integrity and ethics and the patients pay. They just don’t care.
The MO of this org has one single objective - bottom line minus human capitals. Like other posts stated you have control of your destiny - no one from the top cares.. they simply move the jobs to offshore/outsourced as long as they keep their job security plus bonuses/stock options.. dust of your resume if you have not already - plan b to exit.
Hate to agree

Stop seeking mercy and understanding from them. They have heard all such complaints from the others. Do not ask forgiveness from your tormentors. Suck it up or move on.
Prioritize your own workload and keep a detailed log of your efforts. Don’t keep asking to unload your burden as you will be seen as the constant whiner who is struggling to cope. Be seen as the workhorse who is doing it’s best given the circumstance. Do this without ki-ling yourself. Set boundaries for yourself.
Let customers escalate if they are unhappy. Do not take things personally. View them as transactional not personal. Stop overthinking. Do not worry about performance calibration. Everyone else is on the same boat. Trust yourself.
If you are working extra hours all the time, negotiate for increased base compensation or overtime pay. Many have managed to do this discreetly and this the only reason why not more people have left. It has been announced multiple times that extra pay is available for those who are willing to go the extra mile. Hold them to it and advocate for yourself. It is easier decision for them to pay you extra 20-30% than hiring another person.
If this still all too much for you, the door is always open for you to leave. A better company may just be waiting around the corner. Look down and realize that there are no shackles on your feet. It really is all in our minds.
Trust that they actually need you more than you need them. Power dynamics are in reverse. Know your value.
Life is too short for work to takeover your life. Be mindful that If it is affecting you negatively, it is also affecting those around you at home.
Pick yourself up and stop thinking you are a victim. You have a lot more leverage and control than you think.
We’re all replaceable, no one will notice the work not getting done, they don’t realize what we do in most cases.
