On Camera

Any department require you to be "on camera" for meetings within Optum?

We are required to have the camera on, even in production.

Depends on manager. I've worked alongside a good few teams here and to be honest, every single team I've encountered that demands their employees to be on camera is ran by some toxic micromanager who thinks way too highly of themselves.

This company doesn't pay or offer nearly enough benefits to decide how you do anything aside from being present lmao. You're here to do your job not to fill the social void in some corporate taskmaster's life.

In my experience, it depends on the manager. Some don't care if you do, but others sure do. HR told an employee that "if that's what your manager wants, then you should do it."

Yes, periodically requested across all departments, GL 28 and above. Most often bandwidth prohibits many from participating at the same time.
