Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

The building looks like cr-p

Has anyone noticed that nothing is getting fixed? A vendor advised they are no longer responding to request because they have not been paid. toilets that do not work, lights out, notices from the utility company that the water would be turned off, half sign works.

I understand there is no money for repairs but if not a closing store at what point will things start to get fixed and at what cost? Is there even a facilities department anymore?

And all your inventory will remain the same weeks from now due to nobody shopping there.

My store looks awesome - things work, PA music still plays, shelves are somewhat full, and we have so many pillows, the pillow stockroom is even full, which is really weird. Of course, I know my store gets special treatment because of its size and location, and is by no means the norm.

The company is about to go bankrupt and likely liquidate...no sh-t they aren't going to bother fixing anything.

crazy that service vendors have not been paid in a year.

I wonder how much that facilities channel software cost initially and each month. At this point is it worth paying the monthly fees for the software.

Wave 5 has slowly begun. We had plumbing issues as well and was told to use petty cash to get a local plumber. No service vendor has been paid in over a year.

This has been going on for a while. There is a facilities dept. once you make a claim on facilities channel they will respond to you in comments section and email if you have one with update. Most things are not an emergency and will be put on the back burner. I have 2 toilets that were/leaking pretty bad and since it’s not an emergency we were told to turn the water off to them. The company has no money so I don’t see this changing any time soon. Good luck.
