Accountability

So why doesn’t management hold associates accountable for dress code, attendance?
They sure preach enough about following dress code in store meetings, but sure don’t practice what they preach to the choir!! Absolutely no accountability. Associates wear sweat pants, crocs, ripped jeans, hoodies. Im sick of following dress code but no one else does.

It's honestly not that much better at the Home Office. Saw a young lady in what appeared to be pajama pants just this week. Certainly people dress very slouchy compared to 20 years ago. It was already going downhill but when everyone came back from Covid it markedly more "casual."

I do personally enjoy wearing jeans every day. Now if they'd just allow shorts in hot weather...

Because every time you do, an ethics case gets opened. And the associate makes insane comments about things the lead/coach would never say.

It is the team leads responsibility to hold them accountable. If the team lead isn’t doing their job then they need to be held accountable as well. I’m a team lead. I have conversations with all of my associate about dress code and have even coached one over multiple offenses. As far as attendance, I’ve terminated many due to that as well.
