Managers have certainly become paranoid, aggressive and dictator like - I'm guessing a sign of what Broadcom management will be like? Anyone from BC care to share some insight ?

My manager doesn't suck. She's just human. She's as confused and unhappy about the merger as any of us. She wants to keep her job, so she keeps her head down, just like any of us.
I don't blame my manager for half assing it. Everyone is doing just enough to get by. Me, my team mates, my manager, everyone.
I am starting to understand why all the manager hate.

It's common here to have 1:1s either weekly or bi-weekly, where the goal is to not talk about status reports. For my area, we discuss long-term work. Projects coming up in 3-6 months, and if people are interested in working on them. Then see if that is where they want their career to go.
Or people just vent in them. They're sick of JIRA, they're sick of working with X project or Y person. Or just hate their jobs. Feel it out, see if there's a solution or compromise.
Youse don't have this?
Manager: So, your bonus is X this year.
Me: Thank you, I appreciate it.
Manager: Anything else? Everything good?
Me: Yes, everything good.
Manager: Great, have a good one.
Me: You too.
The most in depth conversation I've had with her all year.
Had zero bonus conversation.
If this survey doesn't scream "no one gives a fu-k anymore" I don't know what does.
B-tsy sent out an email this morning with one question - did your manager have a bonus conversation with you? Even she knows a lot of managers didn't.
If your BU didnt get 100%, things arent looking good for it. easily got 100% funding for my team

Managers got 90% funding just like everyone else. They were not treated specially.
So sorry, But my hands were tied. Meeting all your objectives gets you 90%
