Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

CDKs New Strategy.. It’s not us it’s YOU!

I’m getting tired of having my concern about lost talent bushed off onto my team!

We are overloaded, burnt out, and to the point that we make mistakes due to a complete lack of direction and aimless layoffs.

Every time this is mentions it’s deflected on what “the team can do better”

It’s not the team it’s the damn company.

See this as my last day.

This has been a unstable company for a very long time. They surely did lots of lay-offs over the years. They would lay-off, close a facility, open a new facility and re-hire and then have general lay-offs and slowly re-hire many. I know this is a tactic to keep labor expense low but I wonder how it would have worked out if there was not so much employee churn?

From what I have experienced with this company, I is a risky place to work. Risky in that you may be laid-off at any time. Employers do want good employees but being a great employee many times being the best employee does not save you, you end up loosing your job to support company profits.

I feel you there, they made our group take on several products with zero training. Then expect us to keep available for most of the day taking back to back calls with zero time to work issues actually, then complain why we have not gotten to those cases yet. Gets frustrating.
