Got an auto-reply from a program manager in OCTO that they were no longer with VMware. I was surprised. Good worker.

There was a company RIF late April. Those on US payroll had to hand things in the 8th June so that's probably where this came from timing wise.
I thought OCTO was shut down… oh well, it should be. Being paid to navel-gaze, amazing that it can be done. Hock will fire those folks so fast their head will be spinning for years.
Not to disparage the person you knew in OCTO, but what an absolutely useless organization. My interaction was primarily through OSPO who seem to be folks who revel in red tape bullsh-t that they know absolutely nothing about.
