How do others deal with this?

Personally I was burnt out last year.realised my boss is always on the side of upper management and never says no or pushes back to help the team.
I never got praise for work well done but negative comments ..mainly down to how convoluted the process is to get anything done here with trying to get the right person to fix a problem.could go days sending emails just to get another team to answer or start a task.now I worry less, am less work conscious as realized the efforts I put in are never recognized either by promotion, bonus or a decent pay rise.so basically I do less as hard work ethic is never rewarded here..sad to say
yeah, when are going to get back to playing on our phones and pretending to work again?
Quite frankly..I think its very draining + only way to avoid burnout is to realise you will have to take the hit with negative comments from management when you make an error or take longer on a task. my team mentioned 2 years ago the issues we had with work that is not for our division. It all falls back on deaf ears and causes a buildup of resentment in my opinion.
My boss and are swamped with work. We’re getting hammered by leadership daily.
Everyone is in panic mode.
The simple answer is your boss needs to push back. Help isn't coming any time soon, that's now clear. Even if there was open vacancies who would want to work here
I know I can't be the only one who's expected to do too much in not enough time.
